Functional Safety Engineer (TUV Rheinland) SIS Course
We are pleased to have hosted the TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Program for Process Engineers here in Spring, taught by Tino Vande Capelle this past May. We had 19 students in for the 3 1/2 day program from firms like SBM, Bechtel, Schlumberger, Siemens and more. We look forward to hosting this training program in 2019!
Course Objective
The main objective is to provide engineers involved in safety instrumented systems with elementary and necessary knowledge about functional safety, based on the leading international functional safety standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511. A second objective is to give persons attending the course the opportunity to have his or her functional safety competency conrmed by the TÜV Rheinland upon successfully passing the exam.
